Three settings for each type
Replace, hide, or leave it.
Replace
A scene drops into the exact spot, at the exact size, so the page layout never jumps. Videos get a living scene: drifting clouds, northern lights, falling snow.
Hide
The space stays but the content is gone. Good for reading without distraction when you don't want pictures of any kind.
Show
Leave that type alone. Keep real photos but swap every ad, or keep ads but calm down autoplaying video. Mix it however you like.
Ads-only mode
Ads still load, so the sites you read still get paid. You just see a mountain lake instead of a flashing banner. Clicks land on the scene, not the ad.
Whitelist
One click in the toolbar leaves a site or a single page untouched. Patterns work too, like *.gov/*.
Schedule
Only swap during focus hours, such as weekdays 9 to 5, and browse normally the rest of the time.
Theme packs
Nature is the base. Pick your view.
Every scene is painted live in your browser, so no two pages look the same. Switch on as many packs as you like; each gets an equal share.

Hand-picked photo packs you can add to Nature Swap. Your browser downloads them once and keeps them, so pages swap instantly, even offline. Signed in? Your packs follow you to every browser.

Good to know.
Does it send my browsing anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. Settings, whitelists and your own photos are stored locally. The extension only downloads the small list of Nature Swap ads and any gallery packs you add, and it never sends what you browse.
How do gallery packs work?
Click Add to Nature Swap on a pack in the gallery above, or in the extension's settings under Theme packs. Your browser downloads the pictures once and keeps them, so swaps are instant and work offline. If you're signed in, the packs you added show up on your other browsers too. Gallery pictures come from Nature Swap; your own photos are never uploaded.
Is this an ad blocker?
Not in Ads-only mode. Ads still load and count, so publishers still get paid; you see a landscape on top instead. If you'd rather not see the space at all, set Ads to Hide.
Will it break sites?
Scenes take the exact size of what they replace, so layouts stay put. If a site misbehaves, whitelist it from the toolbar, or right-click any item and choose “Show the original here.”
Can I use my own photos or videos?
Yes. Make a pack in the settings, drop in photos or MP4/WebM clips, and switch it on. They are stored only in your browser: never uploaded to our server or website, never shown in anyone else's browser, and drawn in a sealed layer that the websites you visit can't read.
Do I need an account?
No. Nature Swap works without one. Signing in with Google lets you keep the same settings in every browser you use. Your own photos are never synced or uploaded.
How do I advertise on Nature Swap?
Sign in, open Advertise, pick a plan and upload your banner. Ads are reviewed before they go live and appear in a small, clearly labeled card. Cancel anytime.
Does it slow pages down?
The built-in pictures ship with the extension, so nothing extra downloads. Animated scenes only run while a video is on screen and pause when you scroll away.
